this was my last capri i had 2.8i V6 1986 model, had leather recaro interior and walnut dash, it had been played with before i bought it, and it was good for 160mph
as you can imagine i had lots of fun with it
in the pic i was 17-18 (now 34)

I love capris :)

Thinking of getting one, sorting brakes/suspension out and then dropping in a v8. Could be a nice project to do in evenings after work.

more like 130mph........or a little less if you'd done what many sporting drivers had done and added some ballast in the boot.

hmm i have a classic mini that will do 136 ( hanager straight silverstone) it does weigh 750 k with me in it and have a 220bhp vauxhall 2.016v in though ;)

what did you use to track your speed? GPS?
aside from that you need to remember that, with 220bhp, you're 60bhp up on the capri.

Aye, the only reason I looked on parkers site is I didn't believe they went that fast, I was looking at the wrong column:)
i don't use the parkers site but lots of the members in here seem to slate it for being inaccurate.
is it THAT bad?
