Old computer to get rid of

doesnt sound like its half bad, really might be worth buying a new raid card if needed to fix it up

if you really have no use for it, maybe a friend would be willing to buy a working pc of you?
 
I don't understand how a RAID problem would stop the computer functioning normally. Just don't use RAID, it's quite simple.

You don't need two drives working together, just use them independantly.
