Why do you act like that?
It seems that whatever thread I pop in to, there's a high probability that you'll be straight in there with a pointless sarcastic comment. In all seriousness, why?

Attention ? Trolling ? Sarcasm ? Ambitions to be a Don ? ( joke .... ;) )

I take everybody as I find them, but at least with older people they tend to have some manners and a sense of what is right and wrong. Unlike the younger generation (like myself) who see it as every man woman and child for themselves.

My name is Visage and I absolutely must get the first sarcastic reply in every thread.
My name is Tru, and I must patronise people because it makes me feel good.

theres a guy near where i live that shuffles down the path really slow, and when he crosses the road people ALWAYS honk him.

so today i helped him cross the road and no one honked...

Wow...you're like, my hero, or something.

I laughed. Pretty much my reaction too.

It seems the old dear had a point about manners.

In my experience old "folks" are just as bad mannered as young people, if not more. I think it's more of a universal human thing (or maybe just an English thing).

Not at all bud, it's just common courtesy.:)

I must be lucky in having rarely met the type you mention Carzy.

They're all over London, barging past younger people on buses, and generally making arses of themselves.

At risk of upsetting some of our London members, I find the whole place like that though in my experience of the capital as I go down there to see my brother who runs a pub in the West End.

It is in the main a very unfriendly place full stop I have found.
