Good day all, I have a gaming pc from 2012 and I'm looking at spending up to £200 to get it to an OK 1080p standard for 2019.

The specs:

I5-2500k 3.30ghz
Gtx560ti 1gb
Gigabyte: GA-Z68AP-D3
RAM: corsair XMS3 8gb ( 2 stick of 4gb)
500gb hdd
Windows 10
And the psu is 650w

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i7 K CPU second hand and overclock !

or at least overclock your current one to 4.0-.2ghz with aftermarket cooler

scout 8gb of ddr3 ram second hand as well if keeping i5

Hallo,

You need more than 8GB of RAM, in the first place, and take a graphics card with 8GB VRAM, too:

Don’t listen to the above, you don’t need more than 8gb ram to run at 1080p and you don’t need a gpu with 8gbvram unless you intent to use it for heavy gaming with all the bells & whistles, so all you need is a decent graphics card, anything from a Maxwell gpu will do as far as nvidia goes, you could get a 980 if you happy with 2nd hand.
