Hi, I have an old Chieftec mid tower case in great condiction, is it worth holding onto it to build a new PC for myself in the new year, or bin it?

Thanks in advance.

What case is it? Do you like it? Does it suit its purpose? What build will you do in it?

Its that long ago i dont remember the exact one. I dont know the build yet, something suitable for home office.
I think with a new motherboard and decent processor etc, it might work oK

Thanks

Talking of which I have a few cases sitting around I guess should get rid of, Silverstone, Antecs, Coolermaster

Depending on the models and condition they could still be worth some money, especially for retro builds :)

Regards your original question, it may well be fine, the biggest problem with older cases is generally lack of airflow and GPU space, but this is obviously very dependent on what case it is and what build you want to do in it.

Hi, reg airflow and GPU, I think it should be fine, I see two fans screwed to the inside of side pannel but will keep all that in mind

Thank you.
