Hello. odd request this, but has anyone got a newpaper from the 21st June 07 that they don't need and i could have :) Any would do, mirror, sun, times...anything.

When my first daughter was born we got a newspaper from that day but we forgot to get one for the second daughter who was born a couple of weeks ago.

I will be happy to pay for your postage etc.

Also, if you or your missus has an old celeb magazine lying around that they dont want that would be great too. Any from June.

Many thanks fellas.

If you cannot get hold of one.. you may be able to wait until your generic "old newspapers from people's birthdays" stocks that date. We bought one for my dad this year for his 50th. Had a 4-bedroom house selling for £4000.

I've just found a website actually that sells old newpapers. Looks like it's going to set me back £6 for a 30p paper :(

Well to be fair - it could be difficult to locate one.
Most people don't keep old newspapers.
News agents buy on "Sale or return".
Most newspapers are pulped as soon as they are returned.

That £6 covers the company potentially having to do a fair amount of leg work.

I would like to get one from 7th May 1982. The Sun or Derby evening Telegraph. Maybe the 8th or 9th of may, depends when the story I wanted was printed.

Derby Telegraph wasnt much help..

What website was it you was on?

Just google for "old newspaper". It really is common sense.

@droolinggimp: http://www.historic-newspapers.co.uk has The Sun from 7th May 1982.

Cheers for that link mate.. Im not entirely sure what date the news I am after would be on.

My parents died in a car crash on the 7th may 82. I am presuming the date is right.. It was early hours. Not sure if the papers would have put the story dated the 7th (sunday) or the 8th. Not 100% sure if it was late Sunday or early Monday. Ill have a browse and see what I can come up with.

Yeah, but this is your daughter's day of birth you're looking to celebrate so £6 isn't really a kick in the teeth, all things considered.
