Old PC update...

I have an older PC (used as a 2nd PC), that I would like to update.
It has a MS-7091, Socket 775 LGA mobo and an Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz cpu, with an ATI 1650Pro graphics card.

I already have a spare ATI 3650 graphics card that I can put in it, but would appreciate any suggestions as to what cpu to upgrade to (the case is quite small).

I think you already have the best CPU for that mobo. Other than the GPU, have a look on MM for some more DDR RAM and get a new HD, something like a Samsung 320GB model.

if i've spotted the right mobo you should be okay with something from the Prescott Pentium 4 HT 5xx series.

the mobo manual mentioned :
Supports up to Pentium 4 3XX, 5XX sequence processor or higher speed.
