Old Plasma TV signal setup

WPS100/1

WPS = Wolsey Power Supply

100 = 100 milliamps

/1 = 1 output

This is the power supply that sends 12V @ 100mA up the coax cable to where the amplified splitter lives

If you have the attenuator then it can be fitted in one of two places. It can either go somewhere in-line between the WPS 100/1 TV output and the TV's aerial input. This will change the signal level for just this one connected TV. This would be where you'd put it if the Panasonic was the TV connected to the TV output socket.

Alternatively, connect in-line on the aerial cable incomer going the UHF IN on the aerial distribution amp. So, this would be the wire from the roof/loft aerial going to the amplified splitter. This will then adjust the signal level for ALL TVs in the house.

I've tried the variable attenuator on the plasma but it still found the RTE channels only. The other type is on it's way.

Did you try to manually tune a specific mux ?

Also, did you rule out the coax cable connectors being responsible ? (you have used the same coax lead that is working with set top box to connect to tv)
I have redone several poor F connector/coax plug's over the years, the pre-moulded ones can be fragile
