How many people here still keep in touch with friends they went to school with? I had loads of great mates going through school and it dawned on me today that i dont see/speak to 99% of them! Kinda sucks in a way as school was probs best part of growing up for me!

I still regularly see many of my mates from school , I am godfather to the daughter of one who I met at school when we were 10 ( I am 40 next month )

My main group of friends are all from either my secondary or primary school (McDaniel being one of them :p)

I see one friend from primary school sometimes and try to keep in contact with her, although we didn't see each other between 6 and 16, it was just luck that she went to the same college as me when we got back in touch :)
Also still got one good friend that I've had since I was 9 but we didn't go to school together.

Other than that, no else. Bit bothered I lost contact with friends from college but I guess it happens.

About 8 of us we keep contact with a lot, some have moved to london but it doesn't affected the friendship at all, we still keep in touch, go ot the pub etc.

Have about 3-4 really good friends from school that I still keep in touch with and see fairly regularly. The rest were a bunch of 'tards anyway :p

Best friend from school is still my best friend, both part of my main group of friends though the rest went to a rival school.

Say hi to a few others via MSN or in the pub but don't really keep in contact save the odd drunk conversation.

I still keep in touch with about 3-4 of my old schoolmates properly. The rest I don't bother with unless I see them when I'm out as we don't really have anything in common anymore

Dont see any of them, and quite glad of it tbh

Although some of my old friends stay quite near me, so I see them occassionally, but only say Hi or so when I walk past :p

I've still got one good mate from primary school that I see or at least speak to pretty regularly, a few mates from secondary that I speak to occasionally but most of my mates are from uni or through uni now as well as a couple from work. I suppose it didn't help going to a uni in a different town to where I went to school.

Some people I miss not being in contact with but for most it is just a natural progression because we have gone separate ways. I'm still on pretty good terms with most people I knew at school so if I meet them there are no problems.

Well, just the other day a I received a letter from my best friend when I was a kid living in Norway, who I havent spoken to for 11 years. Ive thought about tracking him down for years, but it seems he was thinking the same thing and beat me to it. We now have added each other to MSN, and are getting along like a house on fire even after 11 years.

No one. One or two i wonder what they are doing but that's it.

Not sure if i'd ever want to meet up with them either again tbh. I've moved on and don't beleive in digging up the past for any reason.

I have one close mate that went to my school but we were in different years.

The closest mate I had from school I still see about. Got him a job at the place I work at. Don't speak to him nowadays though, not worth the breath it takes.

I only really see 1 friend who I went school with, the rest of them just drifted away. Every so often I see them when I'm ou around town and that's it.

only thing is.. some went into jobs straight from school... to gain vital experience over education... and at the moment they are well ahead.. earning good money and in good jobs..

whereas me.. im still in education and about to get stuffed with debt from university... i am slightly regretting the education route.

also i heard one went into the forces straight from school... "avionics technician"... having a ball.. and all over the place...

me...still at home... typing stupid reports and evaluations on things that are soo linear in regards to "real life" education is proving to be useless as most businesses and companies are craving experience and looks like they are fed up of silly students with degrees that know nothing about the real world

Left school, *cough* 21 years ago *cough* and regularly see one and semi regularly see 7. So I guess I see about 20% of them! There was a school reunion not long ago and none of the people I hung around with were there so was abit of a waste of time for me

I was the only one of my friends who went straight into work rather than uni, and am now in a good job with above average starting graduate pay and they don't finish uni till next year.
