Old storage drive - New build

I'll be starting my new build today with a fresh install of windows on a new SSD. This will involve installing a few games again, but the majority of then are on my 2TB storage hdd.

Once the build is up and running with the fresh windows install, will I be able to install the storage HDD just with game installs and a few programs on it, or is this going to require a wipe before use?

If games are well done they have their settings, saves etc in game's folder and work directly.
If they're made with that "PC is big black trash bag" mentality spreading their files everywhere they might need reinstall. (and certainly don't remember any settings and saves)
