Old/Used gear..where does yours go?

Some bits get put in the loft, things like Graphics cards get passed on free of charge to a mate usually.

Mostly in the loft gathering dust till a friend or family member needs it

I pulled a mobo/cpu bundle from the loft and gave it to someone who is very keen about learning how to build for himself.

Trouble is that he's made a full decent machine out of it !

When I go back home to see my Mother I usually slip it into my old bedroom, the loft or into the garage... I think I'm a bit of a hoarder at heart...

The only two things I have ever personally sold to anyone is a light ballast for a fish tank and the Resident Evil 3 video game. I have traded a video card for a TV with a friend as well... that was hard., unfortunately for the TV I didn't become attached to it and we took separate paths in life, I went for the exit at the tip and he went in it.

A lot of mine gets passed down to my dad. I make an upgrade and he gets my old stuff.

Stuff that he has stopped using just get stashed somewhere for now, I have random components spread around the house.

I tend to re-use parts for other builds or friends & family builds.
If not, I just MM them off

Also have tons of new/old kit in the attic
