tbh with driving games- simulators - everything should be off anyway.

It's programmed into the firmware to fail after the warranty expires, so just keep setting the date backwardsI’ve been using the DWF for over 2 years on a sim rig, mainly ACC but now LMU. No sign of burn in and I don’t go out my way to protect it, the screen auto manages it.
If there was the slightest sign of burn in I would be straight on to Dell as I’ve only 6 months remaining on warranty….There isn’t so far though so all good
There’s not a doubt in my mind, day 1 warranty free… Argh…It's programmed into the firmware to fail after the warranty expires, so just keep setting the date backwards![]()
It all goes back to Windows 95, when you had to set the date back to reinstall it after a certain pointThere’s not a doubt in my mind, day 1 warranty free… Argh…![]()
Auto hide taskbar
Transparent task bar
No desktop icons
No background
Dark mode
Dark reader
Anything else that the LG TV does automatically
Not even a hint of burn in on any of my oleds despite many many hours of gaming and desktop work.
That was my mindset, I don't want to compromise in any way, if you're buying the best, the it should be able to do anything that stuff below it can doNone of that crap i just use my OLED as any other monitor i have ever owned and waits to see how it handles it
Bought my Asus PG32UCDM about 8 months ago back in January.
I'm a 1 monitor man, myselfJust a thought, if you are used to a 2 monitor setup, with the 2nd monitor being a non OLED of some sorts, you could put all your desktop icons on the 2nd screen easy enough, but can you also make the taskbar stay on the 2nd screen if it is not your primary display? I've just had a quick poke in Windows 10 settings and it seems its either just on the primary, or on both primary and secondary. No secondary only toggle that I can see. Is this a thing in Windows 11?
I am just coming round to the idea of an OLED, and I guess I could get used to a hiding taskbar, but no way I could live without at least some desktop icons visible at all times, and a 2nd screen seems the obvious solution for that. One in portrait mode which matches the height of the main display when rotated would probably be best.

I will keep my tasbar till the day I die, though!"No desktop icons for you!", Soup Nazi(OLED Division)
.....if you worry about burn-in, there will always be something to worry about.
The idea of not having a decent wallpaper to show off the best type of screen, is madness, like you say when you're going to burn in a HUD and centre dot/crosshair for hoursNothing. I just use some common sense. Wallpapers that aren't too bright. Quick cycle for wallpapers. Short screen inactivity timeout.
But, look, you are going to spend hours and hours in games where the HUD may be as bright as a supernova and there is nothing you can do to turn it down.....if you worry about burn-in, there will always be something to worry about.

SpoilsportI have plenty of good wallpapers. Just none of the blinding sunset ones!
