Olympic Athletics

Men sprint hurdle final up...Richardson seems to be odds on favourite to win but that Aries Merrit is pretty good and there is the defending champion Robles...will be interesting to see who wins as the Americans havent won this event since the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Merritt wins gold, Richardson with silver...an american 1-2.

Micheal Johnson must be very happy with that result.

Robles pulled up and didnt finish, unlucky for the lad.

4th for Clarke, well done lad well done:)

What do you think the outcome will be at tomorrows 200m final?
I think it will go in this order.

Bolt
Blake
Spearmon
Christophe Lemaitre

don't know about the others.

Where are all the good British sprinters?

I think it will be just as you posted up....and im glad lolmaitre wont be winning anything, hes just the great white hype as far as im concerned.

Does anyone else dislike that Robbie Grabarz chap as much as i do...i always think he comes off looking and sounding like a right nob.

When he was getting interviewed last night i just felt like he was doing himself no favours whatsoever.

200m final tonight, anyone know what time exactly??. Think the BBC said its 8.55pm tonight.

Really looking forward to seeing Bolt try and retain his olympic title...reckon it will be a Jamaican 1-2 with either Bolt or Blake taking the gold.

That's a prediction and a half Spawn :-P

It isnt really, look at how Bolt and Blake dominated their respective semi's...they were so far ahead that they could even manage to slow down and still finish first in their semi's.

Its definitely a shootout between Blake and Bolt, reckon Bolt will take the gold, hes something else as proven in the 100m final a few nights ago.

Sarcasm really doesn't work on the internet does it. :D

Remember what happened the last time 99% of the people in this thread though Bolt was going to lose ;)

LOL yep, i personally think Bolt is just too strong especially in these olympic final events, he seems to really turn it on. I know people were saying that Blake beat in the Jamaican trials or something but those arent for medals lol. What matters the most is how you compete come the finals and to me Bolt knows thats when to turn his 'afterburners' on:p

Yep.

Blake has beaten Bolt twice. Once when Bolt was DQ'ed for a false start, and another when he was injured.

In every fair fight Bolt has strolled away from him.

Blake is good, but good to the level that he competes with Gay and Gatlin and Powell, etc. Bolt is just in a different league.

The fight for Silver tonight should be really close, but Bolt will be 2 strides up the track.
