Olympic Scottish Parade

1966 was a very long time ago.

What was the last tournament you won? Oops sorry none.

Give it a break. We ain't had reason to celebrate since the great tiddly winks final in '58 :/

Quality :D All a bit of fun this, I can’t see any problems with them throwing a party, so what? Bigger problems to worry about.

Guys I hate to point this out but Scotland is moving towards independence, this is just another great PR stunt by the SNP to drive a wedge between the home countries, working well by the looks of it.

Remarkable someone up here actually can cycle fast, didn't realise Irn Bru and mars bars was such a good diet ;)

What's wrong with being both proud nationally and proud to represent your country? I consider myself English first but am still proud to be part of GB.

You mean you think that having a celebration for the whole of Team GB returning and a separate English celebration later would be ok? Begone with this sort of common sense talk, knee-jerk reactionary style is what we're looking for.

Like you, I don't see the conflict here, I'm proud to be Scottish and it is what I consider myself first but I'm equally happy to be a part of GB as a whole and will celebrate the achievements of those competing for Team GB.

Scotland is a country? WTF?

I thought it was a council estate in the north of England

You're lucky not many up there are able to use computers or you'd have just made a LOT of e-enemies.

I doubt it was organised by the SNP, although I did notice Nicola Sturgeon cosying up to the athletes.

Flags are typical used to show its a home grown product (UK) as apposed to from the EU or further.

Some supermarkets will give a county on the label, others just the defra standards (country, class, packer code, display untill etc..)

Localy grown dosn't mean localy packed... some products do whole laps of the country to make use of cheaper contracts etc. I know of (welsh)lamb being sent to N ireland to be packed and brought back with the welsh flag on it.

also locally reared meat just means in spent the last few months in the locality (e.g, several hundred miles away).
