I'll start the ball rolling then.. not found any posts regarding this..

The torch has been in the UK since 18th May and is on a 70 day relay route around the country to the London 2012 Opening Ceremony.

Have you or anyone you know carried the torch?

Has it come through your home town or village?

Share your experiences, opinions, thoughts, pictures etc

Official route website : http://www.london2012.com/torch-relay/

Comes to Chelmsford on 6th July and about a mile from where I live so may pop down, get some pics etc.

I'm not sure about the indiviual torches tbh, should be just one otherwise it isn't strictly speaking a relay.

Like I said.

It's to celebrate the peace in Northern Ireland and to show the peaceful crossing over the border.

What a load of tripe.

Lets take it to Germany to show Britains peace with them also.

Bizarre indeed. Dublin wasn't even on the London 2012 Olympic relay website.

Compeltely undone by letting those muppets Jedward carry it.

passed through, montrose, brechin, forfar this morning. completely underwhelmed by it all.

If I'd known the office was going to watch it i would have taken my camera. Still 20mins off work so cant complain :D

Does anyone know if its possible to see specific parts of the torch relay? A friend of my girlfriends ran it on day 28 (15th June) but I foolishly persuaded her to come to the cinema. Now its my fault she missed her friend running it :(

Came through today. As expected, very underwhelming. Lots of corporate fluff to begin with. Then before you know the torch is going past. Seems the sponsors are the highlight of the show, not the torch and torch-bearer which is a real shame.

I'm not alone is not caring the slightest about the torch coming through our village?

I said to my boss I'm not bothered about watching someone with a stick on fire running past to which he replied, well most things are boring if you simplify them down that much.

Except, it's not simplifying it, it just that.

So no one is going hold up an "OcUK F T W" banner when it passes through. It's live on the web isn't it? Passes the end of my street tonight...
It comes pretty close to where I work next week but I won't be able to get there. I'll look forward to seeing your sign this evening though, thanks for volunteering!

Decided to wander down as it was only a couple of hundred yards away from work this morning. Considering the crowd and rain, I got quite lucky with a picture
