The overclocking in ATT works fine for me on a X1900XT!?!
That is with the latest ATT as above 1.2.6.940.

So your using ati cats 6.4 and up? , only using hardware overclocks before you load a game ? and have monitored the clocks and volts e.t.c with rivatuner?

edit : would like to know if this is an issue only affecting x1800xt cards

Also a lot of it seems to be related to 2d switching with games that have intro movies such as battlefield 2...

Here is from someone else but using ati tools

1. Start Windows and wait one minute after Windows seem loaded OK.
2. Start ATI Tool Beta15 (Have none of the problem mentioned in above post).
3. Load the manually made 3D config (shown in attachment 00044, the right one) with proper voltage.
4. Start up the DEMO of Battlefield 2142 that has some intro video.
5. Quickly ALT + TAB to desktop before the video intro is done and look att ATI Tool that is still running on desktop.
6. Verifying that clocks has dropped back to default 2D (shown in attachment 00043, the left one)

Just so you see im not making it up :(

Oh yeah ATI Tool has all kinds of issues, but setting my clocks in ATI Tray Tools via the overdrive tab works a charm :)

Ahhhh see Overdrive Tab , thats what im using :D

And thats what Ray adams is going to be working with in his next version , mem volts e.t.c :D

CCC is a load of crap, it doesn;t even increase its 2d speeds to 3d when i launched rthdribl in a window.

so i used tray tools and manually set the 2d profile and the stock 3d profile. and its handled by the auto overclocking tab. as soon as anything 3d is launched including a windowed app like rthdribl the screen has a very quick flicker as the 3d clocks take effect and it works fine.

not sure why others are messing around with overdrive tab etc. as the guide that the top of this forum said, i disabled the 2 ati processes and just let tray tools handle everything.

very nice interface on tray tools, very fast and efficient when i want to force 16xAF or AA in games.

no way can there be a 2000 point difference must be an anomylous reading. you sure you ran the test at the correct resolution on both drivers?

lol, Mav, ive been doing this for ten years now... yes i ran the test at the same settings both times, the only difference was the driver set. normal ATi 6.9`s V Omega 6.8`s

8800 on ATi 6.9`s
10800 on Omega 6.8`s

Yeah! these are good, overclocking working well, voltages an'all, couldn't overvolt the memory on my XTX in the last version of Tray Tools, but it's working a treat now! Damn great! :)

Not had any problems with these, but for some reason I have an unknown device in device manager - I presume its related to the X1900XT since thats the last thing I installed with these Omegas as the only drivers on there.

Any ideas guys? The X1900XT has been installed fine and has 2 options in device manager as normal...

Cool Ill try that aswell as the AVIVO package - makes sense since most ATI products are VIVO now - just hope it doesnt break the Omega drivers :p

Just to confirm in device manager I have the 2 display adapter options (primary and secondary Radeon X1900 series - Omega 3.8.291) - does anyone mind checking if they have any other ATI related device? If it is related to VIVO I suspect it would be under the sound, video and game controllers heading just like my TV card drivers.
