OMG !! F@H rumbled!

Slightly OT but on the subject of sigs, my Folding stats sigs v2 are making good progress (see the latter part of this thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17591977)

The main engine is all done now, I'm just working on the 24 hour averages atm. Once that's done, I need to update the updating script and then the main part is all done. Unfortunately due to the potential complexity of the URLs, a GUI is going to be a necessity for URL generation I think, and that in itself is probably as much if not more work than the main engine.

I've been tempted to set up a copy of the unfinished version for people to try out, and may still do once I've got the averages working (harder than all the other stats because averages means it has to keep a history of the stats rather than just grabbing the most recent copy from Stanford) but I do fear some people will find the URL variables too complex to make the most of what it can do.

Thanks for the sig shadowscotland... not too keen the the Joe 90 thing but you have inspired me to make myself a decent sig.

I want a way to get certain folding stats in it, but not all of them, for example i might want just my team rank as a number. Is there any easy way of doing this?

The new sigs I'm hoping to release soon will enable that very thing (ie. full control over every statistic). I'm going to allow uploading of backgrounds as well, so you can specify a background in the URL and then have the stats overlayed over it. If I can get the averages and updates done today I may go public with it so you can start using it. You might need to ask for help with the URLs though, not sure.

Hope this helps, null :)

I had a bit of trouble sending results and picking up new WUs. I just stopped the service and ran[edit] the console [/edit] then I stopped the console and restarted the service. No trouble since then.

Just lots of patience and time required I'm afraid Admiral :o

server 120 is currently down - this in turn means that the collection server (the second IP address) can't contact the right work server to check if it wants the WU back from you or if it's already got it

the client will try to autosend every 6 hours so once server 120 gets sorted out you'll be back in the points game :)

At least you have new work to keep your machines busy - that's the important thing :)

if it's any consolation we've all been their - it's only a real pain if your rig is unaccessable - and if it was you'd set up multipul thread at different piroties to get round issue.

If HT or duel core - two threads at low and two at idle

Well it must be the units as I just reconfigured to not accept units without a time limit and I am back folding. Mind you. at 36 points for the 2 units on my dual core chip it's only just better than not folding!
