Just phoned OC up and the part was out of stock like you said, but is now IN STOCK. So my order will go ahead for Sat :) and presume you should get your order today / tomorrow?

OMG - IM using the new PC i built... lol

Thank you all again for all your help ...

It was blood, sweat n tears building this... Im a complete noob. Putting all parts together which i was worried about, motherboard, cpu, artic cooler was easy peasy after a bit of logic.

I hit a massive stumbling block trying to fit the IO pins for Power , reset etc. Looked at manual made no sense, lucky dip it works lol..... Power cables was a bitch, until i realised the big blocks actually go into the PSU and not the motherboard. Can sit back and laugh now im on here with a nice fat beer :)

Will try get some pics up. Cable management is naff although i have done the best i can with cable ties etc.

Anyways . Windows 7 64bit scores :

Processor 7.3
Memory RAM 7.5
Graphics 7.4
Gaming Graphics 7.4
Hard Disk 5.9

Good results no ? Hard drive is perhaps a little let down? 1TB samsung 32cache.

All works lighitng fast, need to buy COD MW2 for PC and al ready ordered BF2.

Windows index as you likely know isn't that good. And it will never score any non-ssd higher than 5.9, so any mechanical drive basically gets 5.9.

will do 2morow morning matey, Nothing to "show" apart from the outside case u can see on website....

I deserve a beer or 2 first :) - Agree with comment its more satisfying sitting back with a beer knowing i built it myself. Good expereince. Next time shud be a breeze, need a lesson or 2 in cable management but most is clear in middle.
 
Congrats

Most people hate doing the hhd led etc pins first time round but after a while you stop thinking about it.

The secret to cable management is lots of cable ties and remember you are trying to keep airflow to a maximum.

:) thats becoz i have spammed the forums with lots of other N00b threads. And my first post in this thread was after all advise i have recieved & what i decided to go for.


btw the mouse mat is the worlds biggest lol. very good thou.
 
New house, new pc.
Life seems good for you.
Probably get a nice big 1080p monitor when you can, they do wonders.

Ha First purchase for house was a 1080p 42" TV. :P

Pay day next week and got my eye on a 24" inc monitor. Running at 1024x768 on my 17" so its time to BIG up the monitor lol. Then ill be in hibernation for serveral months..... only recently single so beers, pc, gaming . Happy days.

Get the new HP 24 inch IPS panel which is released soon, there's a thread in the monitor section about it otherwise go with a Dell U2410 or a HP LP2475w if you want a very good gaming experience.

A good pc like yours deserves a good monitor too.:p
