My girlfriend needs new tyres for her fiesta (195/50/15) but she is planning on selling the car later this year so doesn't want to spend too much on them. Can anyone recommend some tyres that are cheap but similarly aren't deathtraps. I have seem various brands on my quick search that I have never heard of so am not sure what will fit the bill here or if even the cheapest ones will be fine for part of a years worth of driving?

Blimey they are a good price, that was unexpected. Speed rating is fine, will need to double check the load rating though, suspect they will be fine though.

Anyone got any ideas for 225/55/r17 - Funky tyres has offered:

101W Avon ZV5 - £79 each inc postage
101W Falken ZE914 Ecorun - £85 each inc postage
101Y Toyo Proxes T1 Sport - £94 each inc postage
101W Firestone TZ300 - £99 each inc postage
97W Bridgestone RE002 - £105 each inc postage
97Y Hankook S1 Evo2 K117 - £109 each inc postage
101W Pirelli Nero GT - £114 each inc postage
101Y Bridgestone RE050A - £116 each inc postage

I'm not going to be driving in a particularly spirited fashion (new diesel Insignia barge) - I'm thinking the RE002's but are they worth the extra over say the Falkens or the Toyos?
