OMG..... SANTA HAS ARRIVED EARLY (LOGITECH G27's)

Thanks Ace, got my delivery Consignment Number for the stock you already had :)

As I ordered on the weekend, I will post back when I actually get my parcel so that everyone has an idea of the wait since my area is one of the worst effected due to the weather (-10 without windchill tonight) and backlogs. I totally understand if there are delays, the explanations on DPD website puts things into perspective - links below if permitted to help others.

All orders will be shippped. We have around 20 units left in stock, with more due in hopefully today.

I expected these to sell well.... but they outsold my expectation.
 
G27 Arrived!

Wow, I received my parcel today from DPD at 10am on the dot, very impressive delivery considering the reported delays. Thanks again OCUK for helping make another customers Xmas a very happy one as I have all my presents now :D

The product comes double boxed (usual Logitech product box inside another protective brown box) which was a relief considering it weighs 8.3KGs - much heavier than I thought it would weigh. I haven't managed to get around to opening the Logitech G27 as I need to buy a bigger desk for a permanent home, but this is what awaits you...

Photo: It states on the box support for PC, PS3 and PS2 - plus the usual marketing info on being real leather, real metal. Everything a man needs!

 
Dunno who I spoke with at OcUK yesterday (monday 20th) on the phone but he was a mind reader when it came to me wanting a G27.

"Oh yes, no problem, I'm looking at 'em now, you want one?"

"Sure, here have some details etc"

"Okay thats all done for you - no probs, you should expect delivery tomoz!!"

"Wow, really!!!"

"Oh yes!!!!!!"

A check on DPD consignment number says it got to Hub3 (Birmingham) early hours, got to my local West London depot not too long later, was on the van just afore 9:00am and is winging the 7 odd miles here NOW!!

Currently I am sitting just behind the front door twitchin and a nadgerin and promise not to bite Mr. DPD postie.

I have done my anti-snow dance and can do no more but wait. The problem is I need a wee but wont shift from the letterbox.

In fact I have every faith in the gods esp. OcUK and DPD after sacrificing the neighbours cat to them last night (almost a full moon b.t.w.)

Merry Xmas to all at OcUK and the wider universe.

Mine's meant to arrive today, it left the local depot just a few miles away @ 11:20 this morning on the delivery van, so fingers crossed it will do so but I may be stuck at the office until 8pm before I'll know for sure.

So anyway, DPD Next Day can take up to 8pm if anyone else like me is still waiting; it may still come for you even if I'm not so lucky. Actually West London depot is the one mine is/was meant to be coming from too.

Edit: Well boo, so much for that:

Only 2 left now, plus it is now £259.99 - phew glad I got them when I did.

I had to get in touch with OCUK this morning due to the G27s gearstick being damaged with lots of scratches, everything else was fine bar that. Its a present for a family member and I feel very disappointed. Bloody typical of all the units you got and I got the dodgy one. Was looking forward to using it too.

No lettering on the gear stick though which is weird, (no gear numbers) this normal?

That's normal TaKeN. It is a racing wheel which means, ideally, you should know the gears. May just take some getting used to if you've used non-racing wheels before. Or use the paddles if on certain games you struggle.

Thanks :) I'm used to the normal 5 speed transmission in my car, and other gear configs for tractors etc at work so I should be ok with it. I just thought it looked slightly odd looking :p

Well impressed I bought early and got one at £200 :eek:

Thanks Ace, and a super big thanks to DPD who managed their next day delivery even on my realy awful road.
