OMG such low temps!!!

I purchased the nzxt kraken x61 aio cooler and own a OC fx 8350. Temp is 10-15 average atm. although just on chrome :p seen it wonder below 10 also (6-8 briefly, but CAM still recorded it).

EDIT: This is on Silent Mode (Kraken) ;)

lol @ the 14/14/14/14 for minimums, thats a tell tale sign right off the bat that something is wrong with those sensors, as no way all cpu`s show the exact same minimum as with cpus there should be some fluctuation between the cores/threads.

If that is in response to my image - while as I mentioned most sensors aren't particularly accurate below about 20C that was messing about in a tightly controlled environment (with the radiator propped up infront of the vent rather than in the case) - per core temperatures for the same load were pretty close up until about 50% load when they started to diverge by more than 1C (which was a fair bit above 20C).

I remember when i used to mount a few sensors to the cpu, the cores were thick enough back then so i could actually get them right onto the edge of the die. Used to be much more accurate as the in built ones tended to freakout a bit with subzero temps.

Theres nout wrong with minimums been the same, mine often are, atm mine at 15 and 16 but the current temps are the ones that fluctuate rather than the minimums.

I need to get one of these coolers.

If you want to achieve the same temperatures you'll first need to turn off all your heating so temperature in the room is 12c and then make sure you have a motherboard that under reports temperatures. You'll probably find you can then achieve very similar results with the cooler you already have.

You probably won't get near the same load temperatures however - but yeah hang your radiator out a window in the middle of winter and you can get sub 10C minimums reported heh.

Yeah, and if ya collect all the condensation dripping from your pipes and blocks you can also have a refreshing drink every few mins, its win win.

I've got my PC in the garage and I'm getting the following temps:

Ya really should get a door fitted to that garage, it will stop all the snow settling on ya PC.

:D It's right back near the entrance to the utility room so is 100% dry. I'm sorting out my upstairs office so it will be moving from the garage back upstairs. My server lives in the garage though, means I don't ever have to worry about noise or heat. During the winter the HDDs were down to about 5c.
