I'm abit late but just been on Gears Of War with my friend but just got to that level with the rain and lightning!

TWO words

OUTSTANDING DETAIL

I've not seen anything like it before on any platform, simply stunning!

Aye is one of the more impressive levels, shame its highly overated as a game and just a flashy tech demo - if only it had any realy depth to it - i dunno like atmosphere or a storyline.

i think online its the worst, it feels so unbalanced and restricted in someways.

Maybe thats why im a big fan of Vegas online, very customizeable, lots of game types - and just a great laugh (with more then 8 people to)

nah gears of war is amazing online man. each weapon has their own use and to be honest its all about aim, same with any fps/3fps. if u can aim better u are the better player.

of course teamplay is also important!!!!

Can't sleep so i tried some random multiplayer in GoW - It sucks tbh. Its very laggy and you get called all sorts of nasty horrible names if you kill people (sob sob boo hoo), tbh this is nearly as bad as DOA4 online got. It has highlighted the need to play this game with people on my friends list - so ill probs be having more OCuK action in the near future. Buit gotta agree with mcd the game does feel kinda restrictive, not free as a bird like when playing quake 3 online :|

It's 3am and im talking balls now. ***.

I love GOW online. Never lags whatsoever for me and I play ranked matches several times a week. Saying its a tech demo is just ignorant tbh.

Anyway, RS Vegas online? I played the MP demo a few weeks back and through it was ugly and boring as hell. It looked like a bad ps2 game and didn't play much better. Has it been massively improved since then or something?

I'm finding single player a bit dull, so me and suarve are owning it up on live when i can be bothered to get on live. CO-OP is the most way to play GoW imo.

I agree every single night there is people complaining about how this that or the other happened in a kill. For the 2nd time now someone has been killed by someone they thought was their own team mate only to have the enemy skin change as they die. It's fun only because I play people on my FL but as a multi player game it's ropey. Reminds me of collision detection on my commodore plus 4.

I also agree its a flashy tech demo. I think the next one could and should be the greatest game ever made but i'd only give this one 85% tops. Next gen and you can't even customise the controls to stop that stupid A button run and cover. Yet again what is wrong with these games and the singual save point. I should be able to have one save for co-op with a mate and one for SP.

Booo to everyone except the OP! :p

I think its a great game, though I'd say the reason everyone is calling it a tech demo is that the story is a little flat and disjointed, and the game lasts about 5 minutes! To me it smells of a potentially even more killer game, but with the PS3 and holidays approaching they had to get it out the door, knowing that it would still make GOTY with its tech and action.

I enjoyed the single player a lot, got sucked in by the atmosphere and music.
The storyline was superb, just too subtle for some peoples craniums ....... ;)
Well actually the story is a bit weak because it is simply scene setting the first part of a trilogy - a soldier is ordered to retrieve certain objects against impossible odds and finds that his father has more to do with it than previously realised.....
As a soldier you rarely get told the intricate details of why you are doing things.

I've played a little bit of this co-op and I'd love to play the whole game on co-op, it is a very pretty, very atmospheric FPS with great graphics and music and I personally thought pretty good game play with the diving into cover, the beserkers, boomers and so on.

I've yet to venture online and get my backside toasted by experienced players, might save that shaming experience for later.

Seems your the one who didnt get it ;)

I'm willing to be your Wii profit that it's the middle of a trilogy rather than setting the first of the trilogy. The script jumps to something like x years after emergence day. I bet they do a prequel. Reason being the ending, what the alien narrator says after you kill raam.

I won't say it because it will be a spoiler but to me it looks like we are the invaders not them.

They will cover that story. So maybe your cranium needs looking at :p

 The outrage !!!!!! Yes it does indeed look as though we are the invaders however (backtrack mode) I simply meant the first of 3 games rather than the first part of the storyline (/backtrack mode) (clarification of excuse mode) and the game sets the scene hence it is a little light on actual major content. (/clarification of excuse mode).
(threatening mode) You're on the list too now :p (/threatening mode)

If you wanna go through the whole thing co-op gimmie a shout. I have gone through this thing at least 8 times on insane at least and still love playing it.
