why on earth would you put such a stupidly large turbo onto a little honda engine! Seems like something only a dumbass redneck would do :/

Damn you Penski, Damn you :D

Ive just spent WAY too many hours over on a certain turbo forum and a good few hours looking at turbos....must....resist....temptation.

Tomorrow I shall lovely go and play with 2 polished 11lb nitrous bottles, look deep into their err alloy and say...'squirt or blow, squirt or blow' anyone want a 300/500bhp nitrous kit :)

Lewis - Satellite with gas. Do it.

Iain - Four HX35s? It's not as if you're short of space in the engine bay.....? ;)

Bonus points if they are protruding through the hood.

Would be a twin (if I go this route) bigger than the 35's (the ones everyone are currently raving about are capable of approx 1000bhp each) and as much as I would like to stick them out the hood, would rather have them hidden, though I guess it all depends on how I package them....time will tell! Im also chasing the first part of the system at the minute - if im successful then that WILL be the start of something though (and its not a turbo / intercooler / carb)

Lewis - I thought you already had a gas setup (with controller) - unless your thining of running multiple pulsoids ;)

No, I sold mine to a turbo-nutter-******* skyline owner - because I thought I'd never use it!

Penski, I like the Satellite but the interior puts me off somewhat - however, still thinking about it. Got a GS350 on the watch too now, might look at it tomorrow :)

You'll be needing one of these babies... you'll need a half mile run up to spool the beast up :D

Hmmm - the 2 im looking at are big, but not BIG :D
Cant get this stupid idea out of my head now either....and its NOT the best time to be selling nitrous gear, everyone is going to be skint..argh!!!!
Im sure that the inital additional outlay will pay for itself over nitrous, as with the amount I intend / intended to spray it wouldnt have been cheap x number of runs in a weekend and it would be expensive V's turbo - always there no additional costs (apart from more fuel!)

Exactly how I'd talk myself into it. Cheaper in the long run :D

What are you doing for fuelling? There's a dirty, dirty part of my mind that says four sets of Ducati TBs and a good ECU would hella fun...

Blow through 850 DP...probably. This is 8.2 litres and I dont think a 'normal' bike T/B would flow enough air, IF I go this way, then I need to give it some consideration - off the shelf setups are around the £4K mark - which...well I just cant afford :( an ECU setup would be the prefered option, purely so I could map it at the track :)

Got a handy throttle size/flow calculator?

Duke TBs are 56mm each and come in pairs ready made to sit inside a Vee...

One set on a V-twin flows enough for 350+bhp. Four sets on a V8...

Certainly well worth looking into for a budget solution. Dom on RR knows his ECU onions. Give Dave Walker a call at Emerald too :)

Will have a dig around over on some of the US forums regarding flow rates / throttle size / injector size as its all a black art - im from the old skool of a big carb = good :D

The project has moved forward as from tonight, bagged myself a BIG fuelpump capable of flowing enough for 2000bhp....all good stuff, overkill for what I need, but its nice to have an overhead, in all honesty if I can see 750-800bhp without issues I will be happy (for a bit) :D
