First things first, yes i have seen this thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17627535

But my question is a little different:
Everytime i perform large operations on my music library between devices i get errors.
These errors can range between ones in windows explorer where it'll get stuck at one file and then lock up. To problems in iTunes when its syncing my iPod.
And occasionally i get BSOD errors. Either 'IRQ_LESS_NOT_EQUAL' or 'KERNAL_STACK_NONPAGE_ERROR'. And sometimes errors relating to nvata.sys.
The BSODs are a recent occurance.

Is my HDD on its way out? Because its at the point now, where i cant, at all, Sync my music to my iPod without the computer either locking up or BSODing.
For reference, if it makes a difference, the drive is partitioned into 3, with the first being a 3Gb swap partition, then 100Gb Music, then 140Gb General Storage. I'd rarther not lose the data.
But the problem is, windows being windows would just bottom out on a file error, rarther than skipping the file, finishing the rest of the transfer, and then telling me whats wrong!

Opinions?

Its not large files, its my music it struggles with. (loads of small files). And it doesnt 'continue', it just locks up or BSODs.

Ive looked up the kernel error and its due to not being able to write to the swap file.
So im thinking that the problem is that its trying to write data to the swap at the same time as reading the drive to copy the data. So im thinking of temporarily moving my swap back to C: and see how that goes. But im at work atm, so i cant try my theory. :(

Im not entirely sure what to do now tbh...
I managed to copy my music to another drive, then formatted the drive, ran a disk check, and it completed them both fine and without incident, where as before it locked up.
Although, syncing my music from the seperate disk had a few crashes.
So im wondering if the problem is with the integrity of my music rarther than a problem with the drive.

Is there a way to check that?
