On the verge of getting a copy of Crysis Warhead

I need something to occupy a couple of days at the most and was thinking of Crysis Warhead.

Can you guys think of any other new first person shooter suggestions?

I have played and enjoyed :

Bioshock
Mirror's Edge
COD4

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
Lost Planet
GOW

I prefer linear story lines with a definite end point. I don't like open games like Oblivion or Assassin's Creed.

Warhead should set you up nicely. Warhead is a lot like the Assault level from Crysis, straight to the point action throughout. Its a bit short, but its priced accordingly. I would highly recommend it, i must have gone through it at least 3 times .

What about Hawx? What's the premise of that? Is like Gran Turismo 4 but with planes and missions instead of cars and races?

Hawx is ok... the missions are a bit boring. Its a bit repetitive. Its far too consoly for my liking.

Warhead is great, after completing it normally work out some cheats for it. including running at 100mph...great fun running into them and watching them go flying lol

Hell no, you will probably be sorely disapointed. The reviews say its over in 4 hours, the gameplay is dirt basic at best, and its what, £30 ? Really cant recommend you getting it tbh.

Was thinking of this very title myself since I honestly can't find anything else that I feel is worth me parting my cash for atm. I'm assuming that it doesn't need Crysis to run?

warhead is a fantastic game. multiplayer is fun to play one the right server.

No chance, its has better weapons and quality gameplay. My only issues with Warhead is that its far too short, and needs another 10 hours game time

No I mean you kind of choose what mission to do, and you get like I don't know, paid or further planes to try out upon their succesful completion?

Well you gain experience and access new planes as you progress but the game itself is a linear experience so its more of a gimmick. I myself got bored after 5 or 6 missions when I knew it wasnt going to change at all. Fighter plane anoraks need only apply.

I'd say go for Warhead if you liked Crysis. I enjoyed both.

Check out mexicanbro for eight quid nodvd version, on that auction site. You could pick up deadspace to at that price. And the EA download manager works a treat now. You can even make him an offer $10 thats six quid, though he makes you wait that way.
