On the verge of getting a copy of Crysis Warhead

But isn't aiming with a pad harder than aiming with a mouse? If it is "spare underwear at the ready"-scary then I don't want to be thrashing around whilst trying to shoot with a pad! :D

I took to my heels a few times, just pegged it. Using a pad, I don't think I would have found the courage to go back.

wireless 360 pad was fine for me

I've never felt anything but gimped trying to aim with a thumbstick, and a lot of the combat in Dead Space relies on pinpointing parts of your enemy. I would have cracked up. I'm not totally anti-pad, I use my 360 pad for driving games, fighters and the like. I wasn't knocking it, I'm just no good with a stick in games where you need to aim quickly.

Just got Crysis warhead. What patch do i download? There seems to be many versions and patches of the game.

Thanks.

I recomend resident evil 5 over any game mentiond in here, i can also say ive completed dead space and warhead and re5 is miles better!

I think comparing anything like RE5/Dead Space to Crysis is wacky. I'm desperate to play RE5, though. But I can't buy it till I finish 4, which I've been really slacking on. So the pox on you for having played it and enjoyed it!

About which patches to get for Crysis, I'm not sure. I got in on release and ploughed through it that night. Had to remove due to shrinking hdd space. I would imagine that the EU/UK version will reject incorrect patches, and the latest one is most likely cumulative. Have a punt!

The thing about Crysis/Warhead is that is really pays to be creative. A great game and if you make full use of your suit it's heaps of fun. You don't have to play it any certain way, and on a whim deciding to creep around an encampment because you fancy strangling and tossing someone over a roof is not frowned upon, neither is death by kitchenware. Enjoy.

Playing through FEAR 2 and honestly, I'm enjoying it just as much as the original. I don't understand why everyone complains about the combat being dumbed down, it seems the same to me, just better graphics.

Only complaints is the lack of leaning (would be very helpful in this game, plus the original had it) and no support for mouse side buttons.

Really, the only thing FEAR 2 can be faulted for is being pretty much the same as the original and not making any real progress.
