Onboard Graphics & with Ati Radeon 7850 at the same time ??

leave your monitor plugged into your PCIe card
Enable iGPU in your bios
Set PCIe as primary graphics in bios
Install Intel graphics drivers
Install Virtu MVP
Enable all the options in Virtu MVP
Enjoy reduced tearing and improved frame rates :D

I heard you can plug it in to the onboard graphics port too and do it that way but I prefer my GPU to be doing most of the work and using the iGPU as a boost. Seems logical to have your monitor connected to your graphics card. Not a very technical answer I know

ok so i still go the error with ccc not working, oddly enough origin wouldnt even run and when i ran i am alive with everything on full it slowed down like mad, unlike my 7850, so im guessing its not utilising my 7850 at the moment ill give what Cane316 a go now

bummer about BF3 actually because thats the game i wanted to see it on most, but intriuged to see this thing in action

Well thats exactly what I did to get it running on mine.
had bad tearing in BF3 before installing it but much smoother after :D

i havent changed from onboard graphics yet because i realised that i am alive wasnt supported so i managed to get BF3 on (all setup to full) and it ran beautifully......but then crashed lol (So was obviously using my 7850 as well) & it had the logo mvp logo in the corner on this game

So can anyone confim does this thing run best plugged into onboard graphics first like i read or is it still possible to use the same thing plugged into my 7850 (before it try ?)

Will there be anyway around the CCC not working either ?

If it still works via pluggin into the 7850 then at least unsupported games will still work i suppose

RUN IT THROUGH YOUR CARD!

honestly it works fine, done it myself the only difference in that I've got a 7950.

Set up my 7950 first, installed all the drivers etc, CCC works fine, then set up the virtu MVP stuff

Never tried it in on board always have mine through the card, in Heaven i get 1300+ - 1700+ depending on my Oc.

But it all ways shows as my on board graphics on the score screen.

Every thing ive read so far regarding the on board hasn't been good, MVP works side by side with your graphics card so been connected to the on board is not needed.

Chuck it in your card :D

I Just followed what you said Cane so thanks for that and put it into my 7850 card and run BF3 to test it on all i can say is....WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!! Pretty Shocked how much difference that makes

Got it all running and just been playing BF3 all on ultra settings - topped everything and the difference is much better fps and gameplay, well worth it :)

No worries :D
I was pretty impressed with the defference it made too, virtual v-sync is ace

Yeah Virtual V-Sync is Great :)

The order i did it in was to enable on board graphics & plug it into the on board then install on board graphics in windows followed by Lucid Virtu MVP software, then reset, put back to your graphics card and plug it in, boot into windows and install Ati & CCC or Nvidia Alternative and it all works perfectly.

Does it only support the games listed in the applications tab? If I instal a game not listed there will the game appear in the apps tab? I am hoping to run X-Plane, with Lucid.
