My Audigy 2 has decided to not work properly so I've switched on the onboard sound on my M4A785TD-M EVO motherboard.
The problem is I plug my guitar into the aux in and I have a delay.
Any ideas what I can do?

Sure.. it's simple :)

I take you are using windows 7 :)

You have to enter the windows 7 SOUND control panel.. then go to microphone properties and unflag "LISTEN to this device"

That's all.

I wish you told me this when I asked :)
I ended up buying a £37 Audigy from OCUK which my motherboard wouldn't recognise but after a few things going wrong with Win 7 I decided to start again and my old Audigy is working.

Don't you just love Creative drivers, Audigys and Windows 7? I find Daniel k drivers work better than the official ones but microphone still doesn't work under 64bit windows.

For me it works everything of my X-Fi Titanium (bulk/oem).
Just uninstall any driver and installe the latest ones.
I think they are signed but I always disable driver signing policy in windows 7.
Mic working on the front panel and on the line input too (you must setup that port as MIC).
I know creative drivers/software is usually crap.. but it works this time.. sometimes switching modes crash the "console" app.. or it gets "confused"... but drivers work (windows 7 64 bit enterprise) and the card is GREAT.

@dmpoole: sorry.. I just got it last week.
