onboard sound upgrade?

Would buying a M-Audio Audiophile 2496 be a worthwhile upgrade from the onboard soundcard on a Gigabyte EX58-UD5?

my UD5 sound doesn't sound bad at all. I think you would only notice a difference if your an extensive audioholic, in which case you wouldn't be asking the question.
