Once a user account is delete is that those files gone for good?

I had some stuff on an old computer and since then my Dad has been using it. From what i can tell it hasn't been reformatted but my user account has been deleted.

You can try to scan for deleted file using something like recuva.

If there hasn't been much written to the disk since it was deleted, you might have some luck.

Most likely still there.

Take a look in the Documents and settings/users folder (dependant on OS) and look for your old username.

even if you cant find it theres sofware that will recover stuff you hink you have lost or even overwritten
