This should be good. This RAM will be plenty and it's dirt cheap. This is the fastest low-cost 7200 RPM HDD and would make an excellent system disk. This cooler is a bit more capable than the Freezer and it fit in the budget. I included a 64-bit OS since, as far as Vista is concerned, it has essentially the same problems that the 32-bit version has. 64-bit is the way ahead, especially if you're looking to upgrade this rig in the future.

Its outdated. End-of.

Would you go buy a P4 now? no? Same thing here.

I wish people who haven't updated to vista wouldn't spout **** about sticking to XP
XP is tried and tested and works pretty much all the time, Vista does not have this certainty, not saying it's bad per say but it isn't perfect.

What about this as an option???? Any good?

Looks good, Rob. That'd do nicely. If it were me I'd step up a few quid and get a Lian Li PC-7 instead of that Thermaltake. It's sharp looking and nicely priced. :)

If you get the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro it comes with very good paste pre applied so no need to spend more buying AS5 or anything that wont gain you anything. :)
