I've recently bought parts to build my new PC, and I can't seem to get the connector into the motherboard. It doesn't want to go in the last 1mm or so, which seems to not be letting the PC boot-up.

-The power-supply that I use is "corsair builder series cx600m".
-The motherboard I'm using is "ASUS H110M-A Motherboard".

Would anyone have a solution for this?

I assume that it is the right way around.

Are you compressing the latch as you push it on?

Do you have sufficient standoffs under the board to support it when pushing down?

Check for small defects on the plug. Do all the copper inserts appear free and central in the plug?

Are all the pins on the motherboard straight and vertical?

Everything above seems fine, but I just can't push it all the way in. Could this also be the reason why the PC isn't booting up? I'm really lost of ideas

*Update

I've seen some yellow light on the motherboard, but I'm not too sure if that's a good sign.
