What is it with stretching tyres over uber wide rims? It looks good on Golfs with 13-14" wheels but on something like that it looks a bit crap. Is it safe to run tyres like that and are there any benefits, or is it all for show?

Lovely car, shame about the wheels/tyres though

Never heard them reffered to as chav lights before. They are factory fit - BMW themselves invented them and the E39 5 Series was the first car which saw them.

They have been afftected by rood boyz putting them on their saxos and old, knackered BMs that never came with them. They still look good on the cars they came out of the factory on though.
