Taken at a party *yup - this was more interesting than the party*

Little bugger wouldn't keep still for long so this is one of only 3 shots I got.

That's a cracking capture Flibster. I've never had much success with insect macros, I normally get one shot off and the noise from the mirror slap scares the wee critter away....

Mind you dragonflys at the moment are far from wee, I saw one at RAF Fairford the other weekend that was so big I had a quick check in the flying program to see what it was :eek:

Never really done any insect stuff before so was just stuck in Auto mode and hoped for the best.

This Dragonfly was a good 4" across. Noisy sod too. Sounded like a bee had flown into my ear...

There was a couple of smaller ones and another large one buzzing around but they didn't land at all.

I'm getting very impressed with this camera now - this is the first shot that I've taken that's only had very minor tweaking before it's done.

Happy person. :D

No need - buy a Fuji S9500. ;)

1cm macro mode through to a 300mm zoom on the same lens. :D

Been out and playing with the ducks this evening. Hopefully got some more good shots there.

Nice, looks like she might be laying eggs.

Edit: Just spotted the snail under her left wings :cool:
