He didn't have a Greatest Hits for nothing :

Katherina & The Waves - Walking On Sunshine (it's still persistently played in radios every morning and yet that was it for them)

My step-dad makes a lot of money every week from royalties etc from that song. :p Right now all the band are mostly into producing/discovering new artists (a spin-off from the band is www.caragan.com, which has a regular slot in Future Music magazine). Although they were the last band to win the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK with "Love Shine a Light" - it also reached Number 3 in the UK charts. :)

EMF - Unbelievable

I think I'm right in saying the the Vic Reeves cover of the Monkee's classic "I'm a believer" was indeed performed with EMF...

Doesn't the song have to be a hit? Didn't think the darkness had done anything in the charts...

Well the album had been number 1 for 4 weeks.. dunno about singles tho.

How can they be one hit wonders if they've sold that many copies of their album? :D

I'm saying their album is a one hit wonder/one trick pony. They'll die painfully after the hype dies down and people realise there are very few good songs on that album.

terrorvision - tequila

only thing they ever made that wasn't **** and i reckon the only thing that keeps the royalties coming in

A lot of the bands mentioned aren't 'One Hit Wonders'..........

Personal faves would be:

Broken Land - The Adventures.
What's going on(?) - Four Non Blondes.
Big in Japan - Alphaville.
Imagination - Belouisome.
Angel is the centrefold - J Geils Band.
I died in your arms tonight - The Cutting Crew.

Oooh there's loads.......as you can tell, I'm still stuck in the 80s when it comes to pop music!
