One Night Ultimate OcUK Werewolf - Game 2

Was a risky play but figured a risky play might deflect some attention away from me. Being stuck as a villager could only last so long as you'd have figured out the real ones eventually I think - and you pretty much did. So was safer moving away.

Shami's targets were almost too perfect with the way that they allowed us to determine beyond any doubt whether Brabbinho or Egon was bad. I did have to consider whether it was a setup as the logic unfolded in front of me but there were enough liars about without adding him into the mix

I like how past players always drop in on the thread at the end of a game :)

You should make a come back Pudney!

I wasn't sure I'd have the time to commit, plus I started getting worried how good I am at being deceitful :D

Probably will return next game though, Mafia or werewolf, although it's bren fun to just watch a couple.

Talking about time to commit, I felt this format was better than the previous one. Despite having less time to post in, people were able to commit more to the time and get to the point quick enough (except Egon, you sly lurker you!)

Yeah, I quite like that it encourages people to talk about their roles and actions. There's no incentive to wait "just one more day" to divulge.

Yeah, I did like this format a lot better.

As for watching you all play, you're all very honest! From my experience, even as a good player, it can often be beneficial to lie about your role to begin with. Fun things you can do include being a seer, looking in the middle and claiming one of those roles instead (For instance spotting a troublemaker in there and claiming to switch players)
Lie about who you stole from as a robber, who you swapped as a troublemaker. This will force discussion.

Basically, not all lies are bad (But equally, continuous lying can be viewed as suspicious. As a good player you want to put pressure on the wolves by making them doubt themselves, and what their roles actually are.

Depending on the roles dealt out, they can either be in a very strong or weak position, being played online like this does make it easier for the wolves because in the physical game if at the very start someone points at you and says 'I was the seer, I looked at you and you're a wolf' that gives you a couple of seconds to react and try and figure out a safe counterclaim.

Yeah, was far too much truth in the game. I was worried for a while I may have been robbed but when everything plugged together logically so was able to be safe in the idea that I was still the werewolf.

A few troublemaker lies is normally a good way to shake things up as a villager.

You have to remember you had more information than me or kaiowas - the logic showed all the information that we had to give without having to BE us, whereas only you knew that you were the Seer because you ARE the seer!

Also, "very" wrong? Naww.

No-one considered I was telling the truth.

Everyone except me and Egon voted for Egon.

VERY wrong :D

Great game though. Ekim, you did play an absolute blinder there, really well done

It's difficult when you never actually get to play a role! With the exception of Jedit's Dr Who game where everyone had a role, I've been a basic townie in every game I've played so far!

:P Sorry about that luck! The problem with one night werewolf is that you need villagers available to give something for the werewolves to easily claim.
Regular mafia it's much easier to give everyone roles since you have a greater deal of unknowns and much less information. In One Night, you have all the information from the beginning therefore you do need villagers in the game, at least until everyone is much more experienced in the game.

Sorry lol :p

That is partially true, I was indeed busy with my youngest, but I was keeping an eye on the game which Kaiowas spotted... as things seemed to be going well I decided I'd let you all follow your instincts :D

If it's any consolation , I knew you were telling the truth ;)

No-one considered I was telling the truth.

I did... several times I mentioned the possibility of you telling the truth and Ekim being the liar, hence why I went with Egon as it didn't matter which one of you was the liar.

Of course you knew you weren't the liar, but you didn't manage to convince anyone else of it!

When's the next game? :D

Which is why I like Role Madness setups - nobody feels left out.

I think you can see now why I say ONUW games should always include the Tanner. It's a game of reconstruction with some deduction, but the only people with a reason to lie are the Wolves and the Minion so if you catch someone in a lie you know they're a bad guy. A Tanner in the mix makes you wonder why someone is lying - or even why they're telling the truth.
