Hi guys!

Right now I am putting together a desktop PC for a friend and I encountered a problem I have never come across. The graphic card (nVidia GTX 260), as you all know is a big and long graphics card compared to standard low-end graphic cards and on this motherboard I am using, it will cover the SATA sockets on the motherboard. So I thought using right angled SATA connectors will solve the issue, however I can use only one of the SATA inputs on the motherboard but I have a DVD and also a Hard Disk (both SATA) to connect to the motherboard, hence I need to use both SATA inputs on the motherboard right? In this case I have no solution to this. Anyone can help please?

Thanks in advance...

did you try to put in the right angle sata cables first the putting in the graphic's card? the only other thing to do is get a sata pci add in card!

Yes, I connected the right-angled SATA cable first and then mount the graphics card. The problem is that I can't have two right-angled SATA connectors next to each other (physically not possible as they are next to each other). I remember you could run a Master-Slave system with IDE drives. Is it possible to do the same with SATA cables?

You can buy port multipliers but I'd just use IDE for the optical drive if you have it or find SATA cables with smaller connectors and do your best to squeeze one in (before fitting the GPU is easier).

The ports must be compatible though.

And you can buy different angled cables as said above. No idea how you would find which was which.
