You really are a ******.

ROFL! I have no idea why that tickled me so much, but it did. Good job sir.

Get a bigger screen
No.
use Windows
No.
I take it you are aware of the ability to use Ctrl+scroll to zoom in on the entire screen and you can read even the smallest text letter by letter if needed?

I am, but a simle raster zoom doesn't help as much as a proper full screen vector increase in size.

I didn't realise Apple were producing fanboys of this caliber anymore.

Is that because you fail to provide a counter argument?

You sound exactly like any other fanboi (of any product/company) when you bleat with "Put up with it or naff off" type attitude. The very thing that categorises fanboi's.

beg to differ?

Would you expect Microsoft to change the way Windows works just to suit you, no. So shut up or post something useful.

Obviously you would hope the developers listen to to their userbase and if the majority feel strongly about an issue change it.. I think the point Dj_Jestar is trying to make is that fanboys (like yourself) are unwilling to admit that people could possibly have problems/things they don't like about the OS but you just have blind fanatism. The blahblah fingers in your ears attitude is the reason people get ****** off.

His point is that you havn't posted anything useful at all. A guy has asked for some help and received some useful information, except from you who's basically said "I see no problem here", "buy a bigger screen" and "use windows".

I think that's his gripe. It's got bugger all to do with whether MS would "change windows just for you".

I'm an Apple fanboy yet I completely understand that Apple may have missed the mark with the windows alignment/maximising/movement.

I prefer my MSWord to be full screen; it keeps me from getting distracted whilst working on a large project. I prefer my Safari also to be full screen, that's why I used the trusty bookmark hack to solve my problem.

I bought an 15" MacBook Pro, I would love everything to be full screen in 1 click - hopefully we will see something like this in 10.5.

Another thing that annoys me is how the Green + icon doesn't always behave logically IMO. Sometimes it makes the non-full screen window _smaller_

Lighten up AJUK - the guy isn't just insulting Mac OS X for the hell of it - he's putting forward a valid point. One I, and I reckon many others, agree with.

Something useful you say? Like "Get a bigger screen or use Windows then. Apple are not going to change their OS just to suit your failing eyesight. ;)"

A* usefullness.

Or how about this:

The + button actually swaps between two sizes - an optimised size, and a "large" size. Click this button until you have it set to "large" size, then resize the window to your screen size. Now next time you swap sizes, it will remember your previous setting and return to that size (full screen) [n.b. this I am told 3rd person, my colleague uses mac osx and claims it does this.]

Thats way too verbose and useful! Don't you know its cool to disregard any views which different from your own and be reduced to petty insults. You well never reach the coverted status of fanboy with an attitude like that :p

I think OS 10.5 will be fully resolution independent, so you'll be able to have everything on screen larger than normal. It will be like lowering the res without the awful quality loss that comes with it, which you may find useful if you have dodgy eyes.

I've seen rumours of this, but my suspicion was that the super high-resolution icons were in aid of larger, rather than smaller, displays that have also been rumoured.
