One USB3 20 pin header - but two devices to connect

My custom-build PC has a 3.5" multicard reader with integrated USB3 and a top panel that includes USB3.

Unfortunately, both USB3 devices have a 20 pin connector - and my ASUS P8Z77-V LX mobo only has one USB3 20 pin header. I have therefore connected the multicard reader and left the USB3 component of the top panel disconnected.

I would however like to have both USB3 devices connected - and with full USB3 performance.

How can I do this, please, given that I can't find a "header splitter" - which probably means that this isn't technically achievable - or another post which resulted in success?

Many thanks,

The only way to do it and get usb3 speeds, you'll need to get a female usb3 20pin header - male us 3 connector (my friend has one) and plug it into the usb3 ports on the back of the mobo.

Or buy a mobo with 2 headers

Aargh. Wrong forum. I'm sorry I didn't notice which browser tab I was using!

I will repost in the correct forum.

Very sorry.
