One very trashed RS...

What is it with you RS drivers? We saw one coming off the ring on the back of the ADAC truck last year. Bunch of nutters the lot of you :p :D
 
I was slightly worried when I first saw the thread title...

I can't believe somebody driving a performance car like that would put el cheapo crap tyres on their drive wheels like that.
 
reminded me of a '55 plate mondeo ST TDCI in perf. blue i saw the other day, all burnt out, i'd be gutted :(
 
What an idiot. Tyres are pretty much the most important part of any performance car. No doubt it's a case of them breaking away with little or no warning and being totally unrecoverable...
 
if he drove properly then im sure that that would not have happened.

with the money he saved on his remoulds he should by some driving tuition

Well, you worded it like you were having a go at him, that his poor driving was the blame. Hence the "driving tuition" comment.

You also didn't quote Muncher's post, and I can't mind read as to who you're following on from.

of course it was the driver to blame.
unless you're trying to say that every single driver that buys that particular brand of tyre WILL, or ALREADY HAS crashed that is.
poor choice of tyre for a performance car, but it was the driver who was pushing it hard.
you don't crash like that when in "shopping trolley mode"

All I'm saying is, I don't think we should be quick to judge and go on about what an idiot he is, and how he should have more driving lessons, before we understand what happened.

Most likely yeah, he was probably pushing it too hard, but I've seen similar wreckage from an accident where the driver wasn't too blame - he was cut up by a lorry on a dual carriageway causing the side of his car to be almost ripped off, he then hit the central reservation and landed on the cars side.

to be honest you have a very valid point mate and i was expecting to come home to a more acidic reply from you.
so thanks for the restraint :)
maybe a component failed or such like.but looking at the damage i'd say it's a foregone conclusion that the driver was tanking it and this alone caused the accident.
