Listening to talk sport, unconfirmed rumours that he has fallen out with the chairman over funds for the transfer window.

He's not utilised his squad properly this season, Sidwell could have played plenty of games whilst giving the likes of Milner or Young a rest. Instead, he's constantly named the same first 11 without resting anyone and then talking about his lack of squad depth. He's been at Villa for 3 and a half years now, squad depth is solely down to him.

It would be a massive mistake for both parties if they parted company.

Seems so.

Its aload of cobblers.

They say that bookies and a few newspapers ran with the story.

While glad it turned out to be a load of rubbish, as a Villa supporter, I have to agree with this statement. There's a reason why they burn out at this time of year.

To be fair I did hear about this earlier in the morning but it was dispelled by Villa 10 minutes after it came out

It's what he did with Celtic. Arguably Celtic lost the league in 2005 because of his reluctance to move away from his first 11. Still an amazing manager though, and I don't think some Villa fans (like fans of all his other clubs) will realise just how good he is until he leaves.

He has shown this reluctance to change his 1st XI, and to his detriment - even though Im not convinced it would have made that much difference.

Otherwise he is an outstanding manager and I cant see AV getting rid of him for a while yet

MON's problem is he doesn't have the funds to have the strength and depth of a decent squad, it's either a quality first choice 11 or a weaker big squad.

not true at all..............hes got plenty of money to spend, he just doesnt spend wisely. not true at all.

Well after what he came out with earlier on today (Italy hates me, and want to leave, oh, and I hate you), it wouldnt surprise me if he is in the prem anytime soon.

I don't mean JM, i'd love JM as a manager (after SAF).

My point is that MoN should never be allowed anywhere near the United team. He spent all that money at Villa, and still can't get close to 4th. He also seems to lose it totally with about 10 games left, and whinges like a little girl when things don't go his way.
