*** OnePlus 2 ***

It's just got 5.1.1, only two months after its release, except it hasn't as the update is riddled with bugs and has been pulled, leaving the OnePlus One on 5.0.2 officially, which is what, 8 months out of date?

so download the update tracker from cyanogen and get the 5.1.1 (12.1) OTA

and no bugs that i've seen.

That's interesting.

- No mobile network after a clean flash*
- "No service" or "Emergency Calls Only" message on lockscreen*
- Network signal is very unstable*
- Compass inaccurate for some users - Rotating the phone to calibrate the compass may fix this. If that doesn't work try this
- Some Quick Toggles are missing when enabled - Re-adding the Quick Toggles fixes this
- Video playback bug is still present
- When AudioFX is enabled and using Bluetooth in the car, Google Maps Navigation will quiet music, but not actually be heard over Google Play Music or Spotify. With AudioFX disabled it functions normal
- Third party camera bug; pictures contain tearing when flash is turned on
- App crashes - Fixed by clearing data/cache of the app
- Some users experiencing slow WiFi speeds
- 'Emergency calls only' in the Quick Toggles bar despite having data signal and correct APN settings. Can still make and receive calls/texts - Fixed by going into Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators (make sure you are connected to WiFi) click "Choose Automatically", then restarting
- Third party fonts do not show up in the Theme Engine. Only fonts associated with themes are listed
- Some users experiencing WiFi disconnecting when in sleep mode
- When using a headset, hanging up calls doesn't work with the dedicated button

Think I will be getting my invite soon and passing it up
Having been bitten with faulty hardware on OPO and now seeing

Battery drain
Over heat
Home button grounding issues

As the main issues I will have to pass. If it had the support of Samsung, lg, moto etc I'd be on it.
On paper it's better than the play. But I suspect the battery capacity could be overstated too.

Only option is the moto play then. I just don't play games so spending 500 is just a waste when I can get everything for 1/2 price and not have any difference.
I would have loved a dual sim phone however

And then there is the bitterness of the only reason I need a new phone is my OPO is faulty!

I'm in the queue but I won't be buying one, I've seen tests and the CPU throttling is still pretty bad once the device warms up.

Drops down to SN801 performance level, not sure about GPU throttling but I would hope that fairs better.

So many reviews are just not testing this, ignoring the issues with SN810 won't make them go away.

Many thanks to Montala for helping get this phone :). Only just got back from work so will leave it to charge for now and set it up later when I have time.

EDIT: Wow, the screen really is impressive! A lot better than my M7 so far!

EDIT 2: Too bright... too bright! Have it on 20% at the moment just so it doesn't burn my eyes out!

EDIT 3: Ok I can see what they mean about this getting warm, but it's mostly the metal frame. It's not uncomfortable, but noticable. I am however in the progress of cramming all my files and apps on it while setting things up so this is expected... won't find out until tomorrow during work on actual temps during normal usage.

So after all the account syncing and file transferring, using the phone normally with browsing I can confidently say... What overheating problem :p? My M7 felt hotter with browsing...

As for the home button, I have gestures off as I don't use them and the home button works fine for me so far, even with the grounding problem.

Sounds good so far then. Let's see if any niggles present themselves over the first month.

Top phone for the money as it stands.

Ooooh, Nice. Think I'm going to have to order mine tomorrow.

Some good daytime where my QX10 finally agrees to take decent pictures: http://imgur.com/a/eLUzH

Bugs I've found so far:

Some apps get confused with the menu button, such as Firefox. Highly recommend setting one of the button gestures as the menu button as a work around (I did long press recent apps).

I have now noticed the unresponsive home button, but this was when it was plugged into the charger. This is only once... I tried recreating the conditions but the home button is working fine again.

I also have the OP2 flip case, which while looks brilliant on the phone, actually blocks the sound profile slider :p. I'm going to stick with the sandstone cover for now, I love the grippiness, much better than my slippery M7.

The camera is also very good for low light images. Comparing to my M7 again (which was also great before the pink tint issue), it seems to be just as good but with a more noticable quality increase. I would still say my Sony QX10 is better for quality images, but for a smartphone the camera is very good for what you're paying for.

just received my invite in mail....what do....what do...Nexus 5 2015 is so damn close...and G4 price is falling like a rock...

This is why the invite system doesn't work. It's full of indecisive people who do it for the lulz and don't actually want the damn thing:p

edit: i'll let you off but my point still stands. I bet less than half of the people on the reservation list actually buy one.
