OnePlus 3T

the only thing then is do I want one how much and should I wait for the inevitable price drop in 6 weeks when they announce the 5

Don't wait, prices probably won't drop until actual release and even if they do, it won't be much, there isn't much to drop from anyway and I wouldn't be surprised if their new model just costs £500+ and this stays the same price, might get 50£ off new RRP at best. It's only been out for few months so I wouldn't expect this to drop in price for another 6-8 months at least.

There is too much good hardware for these to go any cheaper, it will take a while before you can buy SD821 phones for £200.

I've had to send mine back to o2 for repair. The camera just stopped working (rear) and the front facing was taking solid green shots. Pretty disappointed. It wasn't dropped or in touch with water etc. Wish i'd stuck with iPhone TBH!

Someone somewhere is saying the exact same thing about an iPhone, don't make a generality off one faulty device. It's a pretty great phone.

I would definitely not call the camera rubbish but yeah it's not at iPhone/Galaxy/Pixel level. Then again that was mentioned in the reviews, you must cut some corners to be able to sell for 400 quid.

The camera is far from rubbish, the low light performance has something to be desired but the rest is solid.

I asked this question from OnePlus direct. They state SIM1 is o2 locked and SIM2 is globally unlocked.

I've ordered a Midnight Black. Also going to try a clear Spigen case with it and see how I get on.

FYI - You can get the official OEM dash USB C lead from Amazon cheaper than OnePlus direct at the moment.
Did you get your Spigen case? Currently using the one provided in the box, not bad for free but obviously the phone doesn't feel premium anymore.

And back the replacement model goes. Land late last night and book Uber. Now the screen does not work. Went through various steps last night with their support and got the usual bull crap we will repair. Told them not interested in a repair. I want a credit. Said will not happen. Asked for the 128Gb version as compensation. Said they will consider but most likely it will be a repair of this phone with three week turnaround. So I have to go and buy a new phone(s) now. Shoddy service and poor quality control will make me think twice about using One Plus :(

When my first op3t gave up the ghost I tried their online support. They were decent, luckily enough I had mine on o2. So I contacted them and they swapped the phone. No need to send everything that came in the box too. Just the phone. Though most stories I have read seem to be along the lines of the op customer support is rubbish.

I love my phone but the screen is made of cheese. I have not used screen protectors for some time. Z3c and S6 were fine without a protector. The 3T is scratched to bits and it is treated no differently.

So when your phone arrived you removed the factory fitted protector?

I'm sure it's scratch resistance is the same as other Gorilla Glass 4 phones.

I did because it looked so cheap. The one on the OP2 was barely noticeable and I never removed it whereas this one looks like some random piece of plastic that gathers all the dust it can, it took it off within a few hours.
