Onkyo Setup Microphone

I've lost my setup microphone :(

Can I use any old 3.5mm microphone as a replacement or is there something specific about the supplied mic?
The response of the Onkyo mic is accounted for in the amps calculations. A different mic may be more or less sensitive at various frequencies and have a different pick up pattern. The result wouldn't be as accurate.

Have another look see if you can find yours. If not, I'll dig out one of my spares and you can hire/buy it from me. Do you have access to the members market?

I definitely can't find it. I have access to the MM and would be interested in buying if you have one spare :)

I Haven't dug mine out yet but my sound level meter (radioshack) uses the same thread as a camera so any camera tripod/gorilla grip fits, you might find the Onkyo is the same? I ended up balancing it on a stack of cushions, I'm sure that's what all the pro sound engineers do :D

My Denon mic fits a standard camera tripod. I found one for about 12gbp. I would hope that Onkyo ones have the same fitting

Thanks chaps  Will have a look for a cheap one.

I done it the same way as WILD9 but would like to see if using a tripod makes any difference.

Hi mate, yes, I'll take it through MM. Any chance of a round £10 via cheapest post? ;)

I think £11 is fair, but I tell you what, if you pay for my carparking whilst I'm at the post office then I'll meet your price. The car parking charge is £1.20. Oh, and do you fancy tipping a bit in for petrol too ;) :D

Shall we move this to MM?
