has anyone experienced problems with the above amp giving poor quality speech. im using kef 3005 centre with 2005 satalites and when listening to mainly sky speech is hissing and words arent prononced clearly especially with female voices or words starting with s. ive tried all listening modes with no real difference. my treble is set at 0.
is it a problem with the amp i.e a fault or is this normal, i dont recall having the problem with my old marantz amp but that was an optical input

cheers

Re-run the auto calibration with the setup mic, see if that helps.

Also try using one of the 2005's as the centre speaker to check if it's your center speaker that's at fault.

cheers mate. the centre speaker is brand new and def isnt faulty and was bought to try and solve the problem. i used the auto calibrate when i got the speaker last week.

mainly sky speech [snip] i dont recall having the problem with my old marantz amp but that was an optical input

Looking at what you've written, I'm not sure how you have connected things up.

If you have a SkyHD box and only connected via HDMI, it only supports 2.0 channel audio, which might lead to poor sound from the center speaker.

You will need to connect Sky via optical cable to get 5.1.

If I've misread what you mean, ignore.
