Can anyone recommend any online fishmongers? There isn't a single fish monger in my area.

Can anyone help? Appreciate that a fishmonger might not translate very well onto an online business but you never know.

On another note, anyone got any good langoustine recipes? My girlfriend wants to try them, and whilst I will be serving them simply (where you rip them apart), she's a bit squeamish so will want to 'jazz them up a bit'.

Is there a fish stand there? I could go to the Queens Park one quite easily, but the whole point of this is for me to be able to get decent fish without putting my pants on.
The Fish Plaice just off Saltmarket would be where I would go if I wasn't lazy.

I think there is 3 they have prawns/langoustine crabs sometimes soft shell crabs and various other fresh/smoked fish, I find it's not cheap but is any good fresh fish?

One of the stalls used to smoke fish on site in a whisky barrel but he has not done that for some time.

Best to get there early I arrive before midday if I'm going.

I see. I will probably check it out, I work at ASDA Toryglen so Queens Park isn't far to walk.

The hunt for an online one continues though!

They make an awesome stir fry, being so similar to prawns. Groundnut oil, couple of garlic cloves, finely chopped, ~8 langoustines, dash of rice wine, a few baby leeks, some spring onion, soy sauce, a dash of salt and pepper.

Make sure your wok is smoking then add the groundnut oil. Add the garlic and stir for a few seconds. Add the langoustines and stir fry for a few minutes, then add the rice wine and cook for another few seconds. Stir in everything else and fry for a further minute.

Serve on lightly fragant jasmine rice.
