We agree the online ones are worthless but the 'proper' tests, which have a high variety of questions that offset "test training" and which are done in a controlled environment, do shed some light on that person's capacity for abstract reasoning. That being said, abstract reasoning is only a small part of intelligence as a whole so I agree that all IQ tests are worthless when trying to measure it.

You mean you want proof of someone's IQ?

Personally Ive always found if they feel the need to brag how high theirs is or even bring it up at all its a good indicator it is rather low.

I've done the stanford binet IQ test which I believe is the IQ test that Mensa use and I scored 123, I've also done a free online test and scored 138, both tests were done a few months apart, so I think the free online tests (atleast the one I did) somewhat inflates your score or doesn't calculate it properly.

I got 126 in one of the pattern recognition ones, that put me into the "superior" bracket. So now I tell people my IQ is 126
