Surprising as it may be, it isn't. The games constantly on offer make me nearly do it, this is just the thing that's pushed me to getting it.

It's hardly a sub that breaks the bank...

[EDIT] On a second read of the thread, it's a massive shame they haven't implemented it 'correctly' and made it a seamless cloud transaction. But it's still enough to push me over the edge to subbing to PS+, i was close enough as it was.

Not all saves can be backed up to external storage.

This does seem rather half baked... I think its crazy that simple things such as being able to select multiple saves at once is still absent (or even an option which lets you copy all Save Data at the press of a button either to the online storage or to an external device!). There's also no option to backup PS1/2 or Mini save data online.

It doesn't seem that there is anyway to automatically update saves you've backed up when their changed on the local system... but I suppose given that they can't even automatically synchronise trophies this isn't that surprising.

Hopefully they can improve on this for the future though.
