can i just ask where can you find stuff I find everywhere is barricaded and i cant get in, nothing to find on outside and i just run out of AP when i explore please tell me someplace exciting / good to explore?

you need to get your hands on a fireaxe first if you haven't already - thats essential - you can get them from fire stations (rather obviously) and malls

the following buildings have items so its worth heading to one of these.


police departments - have guns, ammo and body armour
hospitals - have medkits
necrotech buildings - have revive syringes (turn zombie to human again - but you cannot use one on yourself), dna extractors
fire stations - fire axe, crowbar etc
malls have all of the above.

there are a few other buildings that have things like fuel, portable generators, crowbars, radios etc. the best thing to do is have a read on the urban dead wiki for full details just google it.

but in my opinion the "main" buildings are the ones above. Its worth mentioning though that they are also primary targets for zombies to attack (especially malls) so it may be safer to sleep in an adjacent barricaded building, unless of course there are a lot of people in the "main" building

with barricading you can enter any building up to (and including) very strongly barricaded) but if a building is "heavily barricaded" or above then the only way into it is to find an adjacent building which is barricaded to very strongly or less and then use the "free running" skill to get into it. i.e. just click on the building next to you run to across the roof tops.

the other useful thing worth knowing is that if you are wounded and in a building with some other survivors then squeal for a heal because theres a chance someone has a spare first aid kit and is willing to use it on you (they will get experience for this).
