Its there own fault, they loan out one of there best 2 keepers. With out making sure they have enough cover.

They should play Gunnar Nielsen in goal n put some one from the academy on to the bench

Good hope they get nothing as Villa have to play them next, with a lesser keeper gives us a slim chance of a win and our away record is good.
maybe just maybe 4th is not beyond us

That's just plain wrong. We (Spurs) had to play our academy keeper after Gomes got injured and Cudicini was in an accident. we lost a few games around that time.
If we were allowed an emergency load, we'd have secured 4th by now.

What a joke.

When was that?

No one but Gomes and Cudicini has played a minute for you in goal this season according to what I've seen, as for it being plane wrong, did Spurs apply to be allowed to sign one, or did they use him for one game in the cup knowing Gomes would be back the next game.

Likewise, Cudicini can hardly be said to have been injured on the job, but in a reckless and entirely stupid accident that was completely 100% preventable.

Supposedly the newer loan rules mean you can't recall players anymore so they couldn't loan out Hart and recall him under any circumstances.

So considering no other keepers played in the league for you, your claim that had you been allowed, you've have secured 4th, is rubbish.

I say let them get one, its highly unlikely they can get anyone fantastic anyway, and having one of the single most exciting ends to a league in the history of the league, ruined because the best keeper in the league got injured seems like an anti climax.

Its not like they'll be loaning in Buffon is it, they'll lone in some 3rd string keeper, possibly a huge fee for a 2nd string keeper from a decent team.

The new keeper still won't have great communication/understanding/control of a defence and he won't be as anywhere near as good as Given, by a heck of a long way.

There's one possibilty...David James, Pompey's season in league terms is over therefore James could be available and do himself a favor with the world cup around the corner. Money talks!!

It'd probably have put Birmingham off as I think Hart would have at least been in contention for the number two slot if not in it outright, and possibly all it'd take for them to lose their first-choice goalkeeper is an injury to Given and Hughes/Mancini looking over the other chap.

I wonder what the loan stipulations are and what pool of players City are looking at. It'd be interesting to see the level of quality they're looking at getting and if it's going to be that far above this Faroe Islands guy.

Personally I dont think Man City should be allowed to bring in another keeper. Sky just said this morning that they have 9 keepers on their books, thats more than enough to be able to pick another, even if its an inexperienced young keeper.

I understand that a keeper is a more important position than others, but where does this lead. If its end season and all a teams main strikers are injured (a la Everton a while back), are they then allowed to bring in an emergency striker? If the main centre backs are injured, is the team then allowed to bring in an emergency CB?

You register your squad for the league and that should be that imo, injuries..although massively unfortunate and badly timed, are part and parcel of a season.

Thats my thoughts on it, not that they matter.
